| If
Quality, Service, Value and Exclusivity
is the order of your priorities then Kings
Galleries is the only studio/gallery you
will consider.
The following three factors dictate
the final prices we will quote you
for an oil painting. This section
is a guide and indicator to what
you can expect to pay. Pease read
it carefully, we want all of our
potential clients to be aware of
the costs involved.
Original
or Reproduction
Original oil paintings will generally
cost more than reproductions.
Size
Common sense makes one think, "the
larger the painting, the more it
will cost." However, there is an
economy of scale that plays a part
here and choosing a painting twice
the size may not necessarily cost
twice as much. Conversely, choosing
a smaller painting to reduce the
cost may not be practical either.
When the artist has to paint small
and fine details, this means more
time and we all know what time costs.
Complexity
The more complex a painting is,
the finer the detail, and this will
be reflected in the price you should
expect to pay. To make things a
little easier for you we have divided
our price structure into five different
complexity categories: O A B C and
X, and you will find these codes
displayed in the details of each
painting.
O: Original paintings of a medium
complexity
A: Simple paintings in a Impressionist
or loose brush style having no figures
B: More complex paintings in a realistic
style with one figure
C: Complex paintings in a realistic style
with two figures or more
X: Complicated fine detail paintings with
many figures
To help you gain an idea of what
your commissioned painting will
cost without being too specific
we have laid out a simple table
of prices below. Use the code shown
in the paintings details, decide
on the nearest size that suits your
requirements and look up the "estimated
average price".
So, you have found a painting you
would like to commission or purchase
from our stock and you have a good
"ball park estimate" by utilizing
our chart below. What now?
At this point you will want to
get a firm quotation before you
place your order and you may wish
to ask a few questions about the
commission, this is a good time
to ask.
Click on the Price
Enquiry button below the
painting of your choice and an email
will open with the painting's code
number already filled in. Use this
